Dream Disturbances

If you didn't already know, I live in a house with three boys. unfortunately all three of these boys talk in there sleep...a lot. It is both frustrating and hilarious for me at the same time. It is hard for me to tell when the are actually asleep and when they are awake because they sound the same, especially Randy. Jake just jibber jabbers and it is kinda cute. Sometimes Tyler cries out "Mommy! Mommy!" and I run in his room only to find he is sound asleep. That gets annoying. Last night was kind of funny though because it was the first night that two of them have talked together.
ok, let me set the scene. It is 1:00 in the morning. All is quiet except the soft sounds of breathing and the fan in our room gently humming. Randy suddenly sits up, scoots over and looks down so he is directly over me. He says apprehensively "So, are you going on the cruise then?" I sigh "Yes Randy, I am going on the cruise. Are you?" he dramatically falls back down onto his pillow and sighs with an "Ahhhh" sound. that wasn't all that unusual or funny, but right after Randy went back to sleep, Tyler literally yells out "INCONCEIVABLE!" I was laughing so hard! I guess we have watched princess bride a little too much lately eh?
I can't wait till all three are saying stuff at the same time and thoroughly confusing and scaring me even more. I'll let you know if anything else happens like a sharkfish getting Randy's leg again, spiders crawling all over our bed, or my personal favorite...Randy looking for the elusive drinking fountain in our bedroom.

How well do you know us?

Some of you probably think you know Randy and I pretty well, but I bet you didn't know that Randy and I love to get out and dance whenever we can. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but we are actually pretty good. I love to get may hair all pointy and float around on the dance floor. Lately we have really been into disco! Surprising huh! Anyway, I thought maybe some of you would like to see our last dance performance. Yes, I am wearing an immodest dress, but we're dancers, you understand.

Tyler Says....

After quite a frustrating day, I just sighed and said...

Me: Ty, can you please just be a good boy for the rest of the day!"
Ty: (after not responding for a few minutes) "Mom, I think that I should just be good for ONE minute. I think that would be so easier for me to do. I could prowbly do that.....Think about it!"

I guess I'll take what I can get, one minute of peace is better than no minutes. (FYI he's really not that bad most of the time though)

My birthday cake

Yes, I know it turned out a little lop-sided, but I had a couple of people request that I post my birthday cake. I LOVE to play and decorate cakes if you can't tell. I think this one was fun, but it is certainly not my favorite one ever. Randy's birthday present to me was supplementing my cake decorating kit, so that was awesome!

Call me SUPERMOM!

The title says it all. I really am a supermom. I didn't want to say anything until now, but I just got a new power and I am so excited about it that I have to out myself.

Yesterday I successfully changed Jacobs diaper and put him in his crib. That in of itself is not an unusual feat, but I did it all while he was fast asleep! (I forgot to change him before putting him down for the night). I am very proud of my new talent! I even put him in new pants too! It is about time I found more of my magical powers! If you didn't know it already, I have eyes in the back of my head, can grab a child at super speed before he falls down the stairs, I have super hearing as well as enough arms to hold a baby, groceries, a purse and a phone to my ear. I guess I should change my blog name to "the life of a supermom." I am still waiting to... be in two places at once and look good in spandex though. Here's hoping!

Sigh, I've been tagged again.

SIX INTERESTING OR FUNNY FACTS ABOUT ME

Okay, so I have been tagged with this one about four times, I guess I will do it and maybe I won't be tagged anymore. I can't promise it will be interesting or funny to YOU though.

#6. Even though I am out of practice, I can burp, well, belch really well. No, seriously, I have not lost a competition yet. And I don't use soda or anything else to cheat with.

#5. I did not kiss a boy until I was in College. Even though I had the option before. No, my first kiss was not Randy. Although he was my 2ND. (and best I might add)

#4. I love dill pickles! I used to ask for a jar for my birthday every year when I was a kid. Yep, I even drank the leftover pickle juice from the jar. That and ketchup sandwiches which include ketchup on bread.

#3. Speaking of eating gross things, I once licked a sucker that my friends found on the ground for just one dollar. I used to earn my extra lunch money by doing stupid entertaining things for them.

#2. I, like everyone else in my family can recite the ABC's backwards as well as forwards. We can sing it or say it. I thought this was normal growing up and was very surprised in the 4Th grade when I learned otherwise. this "talent" has not really come in handy until I was called to be the sunbeam teacher. The kids LOVE it! Who knew?

#1. If I could rid the world of one thing, it would be animals dressed as humans.

Alright, I did it! Now, I am not going to tag anyone because It is annoying. That's right! Like when I was a kid and hated playing tag. They would just tag me anyway even though I didn't want to play and then I was "it" for eternity, or I had to play. I guess I am okay with being "it" for eternity now.
p.s. the same goes for chain letters and chain e-mails so don't even think about it!

Addition to "my famous brother"

There was a neat article written about my little brother Ben this week by the Salt Lake Tribune. For all those interested, I have provided a link to that article. http://www.sltrib.com/prepsports/ci_8836657?source=email
It is probably the last article that will be written about him for his high school career. Good job Boot!
