First things first, This little girl is feeling much better. She isn't perfectly healthy yet, but she can play and walk and eat now.I had fun doing her hair the other day. It looked very cute. And I might add, no torture was involved whatsoever.
On Friday our basement flooded because the hose came loose off of our washing machine. Yuck. It is fixed now though and there doesn't appear to be any damage. (I would've taken more pictures, but I didn't think Randy would appreciate me "blogging about it" at the time. This is all I dared to take from the top of the stairs.)OK, I bought this coat for my little girl while I was in Park City. It was so cheap I had to buy it even though it isn't girly at all. I thought it needed something so I made a ribbon flower and put in onto the coat.
Tell me honestly what you think. If it looks ridiculous I will take it off.

It looks like a boy coat with a bow. Just kidding. The bow really helps frill it up, though.
I'm glad she is feeling better. That last post was pretty sad. I don't prefer the bow. Just me.
Thanks for the link to your HS blog, I will send it to my friend who is in charge of the blog.
Your little girl is soo cute, I am glad she is feeling better. A miracle in our house is presently occurring...we are all healthy! Now we are ready for summer!

the bow is a great idea to make it girlie but i wouldn't use that bow. i would use a cute brown and beige one
I think it looks silly, use the coat for Jacob but take the ribbon off first of course! She needs a pink furry coat!
Mmm, I'm not feeling the bow. I like the idea of making it more girly though. Maybe do some trim--I like the brown and beige-y idea. Like a brown ribbon with beige flowers or something. Or cover the snaps with something cute. But really--when it's cold and you need a coat, you need a coat. My warmest coat is a men's coat but it is SO warm and fits great and was super cheap.
i dont love the bow. you have a girl so buy a cute girl coat. if you want to still use this coat, id get brown ribbon and make a bow or even line the cuffs with some cute brown or beige ruffle of some sort, in which case it's probably more cost/time effective to buy a cheaper new one. unless you have the materials lying around.
You can tell it was all women writing about the coat. Nothing about the disaster in the basement. What a mess when you get a flood - that is when you wish the floor drain was in the laundry room where it belongs. Hopefully there were no cardboard boxes on the floor.
I like it! I think it makes something functional nice and girly.
Sorry about the flood!!
Question...first of all what is your email address? Second, Steph and I want to plan a Saturday luncheon with all of the Burton cousins (whoever can attend). Do you think earlier like noon or 1, or later like 4ish would be best for those cousins with kids?
