It's 17 degrees outside...what should we do?

I know, we should shovel the snow off of the yard and lay down sod. We should take a weed burner to try and melt the snow (which will immediately freeze again) and then just lay the partially frozen sod on the ice. OK, I'm being sarcastic because to me it seems ridiculous. However, according to the sod company, it should grow fine. FYI we were expecting this sod about a month ago. Plus, the sod is dormant right now, so it looks amazingly brown. Nice. Seriously though, I do appreciate Randy going out in the freezing cold and making us a place for the kids to play.

I will post a picture when it is finished. The sod was too frozen to unroll so we only got about half of the area done.

Wow laying sod at 17 degrees! I sure hope you had something to get him warm again. What a great husband.

I think that is the saddest thing I have ever seen. Randy laying sod, by himself, on top of ice and it was too frozen to do the whole job. Sad!

IDK it seems like a cruel joke made by the sod guys...hey lets just wait and deliver it on one of the coldest days and see what they do? JERKS

Hopefully they know what they are talking about. At least you didn't have to do it. poor randy. I am sure it will look great come spring.

I can't believe you laid the sod in the cold weather. I hope it will work out ok in the spring-time. I'm sure your yard will look so nice and kids will enjoy playing outside.

Good luck! What a good sport to be out there in the cold. Good work, Randy!
