We had a great 4th of July celebration starting with a ward breakfast at the church, a parade, a BBQ at our house with some friends, and then fireworks. We were so busy running around that I didn't take any pictures of the day, but I did get a shot of Lily's hair the night before the festivities started. Everyone loved her hair and I was frequently asked "how did you get her to hold still for that?" My answer is: Candy. Lots and lots of candy and a kids TV show. And for those of you who think I'm torturing my baby, I'll have you know I specifically asked her if she wanted a star or pigtails and she picked the star. She didn't even complain once. I hope your 4th of July celebrations were as fun as ours were.

So cute Cenny won't even let me touch her head.
I am so impressed with all the things you do with Lilly's hair. So cute! You've got some talent girl! :)
That is amazing!! It's even cuter than you described. And with the candy bribes, you win, she wins, what's wrong with that?!
I would love to do this with my daughter's hair. How did you do it? Thanks.
This is adorable. Saw it on pinterest today. Do you have a tutorial for it?
How did you do the top horizontal part of the star that 's the only part I'm confused about. Thanks. By the way~ TOO ADORABLE!!!!
so so cute!!
ooooh! need a play by play break down of how you did that!
Cute! Just seen this on pinterest!
Thanks guys! I just make three ponytails at the top,. divide the top pony into two braids, ONE side pony into two braids and the other side pony into one braid. The horizontal top is made by taking the side pony (with the two braids) and pulling it toward the other side pony. I just take the end and put the elastic in where the other elastic is already in.
I think the rest is pretty easy to understand by looking at the picture.
I hope this makes sense. It is a whole lot harder to describe than I thought it would be. Hahaha
I had no idea that this picture would be so popular! Thanks everyone for supporting my hair endeavors.
