"Can I eat those flowers?"

That is what Tyler said after I made this for girls day at my mom's house. It was yummy. Too bad I accidentally bought an orange honeydew. It was supposed to have green "leaves". Oh well.
Super easy and fun.
Thanks Amber!

An orange honeydew? Isn't that also known as cantaloupe?
Very pretty. You can make one for me someday.

Amber,
nope, They actually sell orange honeydews. The outside looks the same for both colors. I also bought a cantaloupe for the center of the pineapple flowers. I know the difference.

I think perhaps you got hold of a Musk melon. They look a lot like a honeydew but the outside is a bit rougher looking. They come from Musketine (not spelled right I am sure.) Iowa. My grandfather always tried to get us to eat them but I didn't like the texture, like a honeydew not a cantaloupe. Looks pretty though.
