Sidetracked

Just when you think you have your day figured out, something gets you sidetracked. You drop Tyler at kindergarten, you workout, you put the baby to sleep and put on a show so you can hop in the shower and get ready for the day before you pick up Tyler, your two-year-old of course throws you for a loop. This is what I saw when I got out of the shower.
Talk about a lot of blood all over the place! Of course Jacob never cries, so I wasn't surprised he wasn't upset about anything. At least that is what I thought until he showed me this:

and Asked me if I would make him some Crystal Light. Of course he couldn't wait until I got out of the shower to start making it himself.

It was everywhere, all over the carpet, bathroom, kitchen, his hands, feet, stomach, face, etc. Of course it is bright red too! Why would Randy buy something so very red and stain worthy I have no idea, but we are NEVER buying it again!

No matter how much he and the children enjoy it. BTW, I went to pick up Ty with wet hair, no makeup and my feet are also stained red like Jacob's now. What a fun day! I still haven't gotten it out of the carpet. You add water and it gets more red. Sigh.

Call Crystal light and ask them what to do to get it out of the carpet and from now on Lemon sounds like a winner to me!

I'm sorry! It is hard to get mad at him when he is so cute. I will look through my stainmaster chart and see what they recommend.

Time to call your carpet cleaner. I spilled bright Halloween orange wax all over my carpet one day and my cleaner was able to get it out. Red is really hard but the earlier you do it the easier it will be for them to get it out. Don't mess with it anymore. Easier said than done of course but seriously, that is what they always tell me when they come out. good luck!

Sorry, I remember when Gunnar was four and he walked all over the house trying to find me and when he did he showed me he had dog poop on his feet. I stopped doing what I was doing and freaked out. I think he danced on all the new carpet before finding me. Poop everywhere and the smell. All day that was fun. Good luck

Oh my Gosh! I am so sorry! Go on the internet and look up cleaning tips. Whenever my kids spill something crazy I boot up the computer for help tips! Good luck and keep all red-dye food FAR away from your house! :)

Heather, that really sucks. Obviously you are a great mom b/c you chose to blog this rather than get really angry over it.

Lisa- that Gunnar story really makes me laugh- it's actually one of my all time favorite Calvin and hobbes strips. Calvin yells for his mom and she tells him not to yell but to come and talk to her like a civilized person- and he does, to tell her that there is dog poop on his shoes :)
