Happy birthday to Me!

My friend Michelle is doing this, and I am getting on board as well. For my birthday present to myself this year, I am going to lose weight I am going to feel good about myself and have more energy. I am going to take care of myself TODAY not tomorrow. On April 21st about six months from now, I would like to reach my goal weight. Seeing as I am surrounded by tiny people, I will not shock you with numbers. Just know that I would like support and praise for my efforts. I will post my pounds lost on the right side of my blog as a constant reminder and motivation to continue on when I need to, not to embarrass myself, but to motivate me. I have never been successful at losing weight while nursing, but rather right after I stop. Lily isn't nursing quite as much anymore so I am hoping that with a little more effort, I will be able to do this while nursing my sweet little one. (I will stop nursing when she is 1 year old in March) Happy birthday to ME! Wish me luck.

I will be your #1 supporter! I sure feel better about myself now that I have been working on myself. Hang in there, it may take more than 6 months.

Good for you Heather! I'm sure you'll stick it out indefinitely and be able to get results you can be proud of. I think 6 months is a good starting goal.

Losing weight is an awesome goal to shoot for. I am sure you will do it. Make sure Randy helps you through the process. Good luck!

Way to go Heath, that was a good pep talk for me too. It is sooooo easy to let things get in the way of exercising, especially if you do it at night like I do (which hasn't been very much lately, obviously) anyway I know we can both do it. If you go to my fitnesspal.com and fill out a profile it gives you guide lines of how many calories, protein, fiber, etc you should eat each day with the goal you've set. For me it really is just a matter of paying attention to what you eat. So here's to paying attention and working hard. "One day at a time, one snack at a time, one workout at a time." This is what I tell myself a lot. Gum helps too. Okay I'll stop rambling now. Good Luck!
